10 May 2010

Serbia will receive €120m ($153m) from the Czech Export Bank to upgrade its Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway.

The rail project is expected to involve electrification and upgrades of infrastructure for the 120kp/h operation.

The work also includes the modernisation and reconstruction of railway Corridor 10.

The 40km line is expected to be the only direct link between Serbia and Bulgaria.
