UK freight haulier First GBRf has delivered its hundredth ballasted track renewal on the London Underground track replacement project.
The relaying of over 54km of new track on the Metropolitan and District lines was carried out as part of the project.
The contract also renewed about 23 points and crossings on the same lines.
GBRf has been assigned the contract to deliver locomotives and supply raw materials to replace track on the London Underground.
The stakeholders of the project are London Underground, Balfour Beatty and GBRf sub contractor TransPlant.
