Spanish Consortium Wins Polish High-Speed Rail Contract

A Spanish consortium led by Ingenieria IDOM has won a contract to provide high-speed train lines to Poland.

The total cost of the project is estimated to be €6.75bn ($9.17bn), writes expatica.com.

The project would involve laying new lines capable of handling trains travelling 350km/h.

Polish state rail firm PKP said the consortium will draw up a feasibility study.

The cost of the study is estimated to be €12.7m ($17.3m).
