The World Bank-backed Congo rail network revamp will receive support from Belgium-based African rail operator Vecturis.
The project work includes track renewal and rehabilitation of 350 wagons and 17 locomotives by this year.
The Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Congolais is planning to purchase 35 locomotives, 100 coaches, 200 wagons and two substations.
The company is expected to carry out repair works on 700km of track, according to railwaygazette.com.
