Bombardier to Manage Montreal's Rolling Stock

10 February 2010

Canadian firm Bombardier will provide maintenance of locomotive and passenger rail cars for part of the Montreal-area commuter rail fleet for the next three years.

The C$34m ($31m) contract has been awarded by the Greater Montreal transport agency Agence metropolitaine de transport.

Beginning in July, Bombardier will maintain rolling stock for the Dorion-Rigaud, Blainville-St-Jerome and Delson-Candiac lines surrounding Montreal.

AMT also plans to build a $119m maintenance facility for the three lines in Lachine.
