TRL to Promote IMTRAC

21 January 2010

The UK's Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) has partnered with Ian Routledge Consultancy for the global promotion and resale of Information Management for TRAffic Control (IMTRAC) software.

The Ian Routledge-developed software stores information online and allows crucial information to be accessed directly or by map, while providing data management and export tools.

The problems faced by engineers due to out-of-date, inaccessible, badly filed or misplaced information are removed, according to the company.

IMTRAC incorporates an online database with a map-based user interface and provides access to all pertinent site information through a map icon for all equipment types.

The software also provides various tools including support for development, roll out and management of IP communication, which are expected to significantly reduce operating costs for traffic operators.
