Vinci and BAM Win Tube Deal

23 December 2009

The UK's Transport for London has awarded a $403m contract to French firm Vinci SA and its joint venture partner BAM Nuttall for the renovation of Tottenham Court Road tube station.

Work includes doubling the station's capacity, expanding the existing ticket hall by nearly six times, upgrading wharves and existing crossings as well as building new entrances and a new hall.

Construction is expected to begin early next year and finish in September 2016.

Vinci's UK unit Taylor Woodrow will carry out the work.
