DB Schenker Rail and SNCB Logistics have signed an agreement to manage cross-border freight trains between Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
Under the new deal, the two groups will set up a joint production firm named COBRA (Corridor Operations Belgium Rail) to be operated from the Belgian capital of Brussels.
DB Schenker Rail is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn while SNCB Logistics is part of the National Railway Company of Belgium.
