TT Unit First IRIS Certified Supplier in China

23 November 2009

UK group TT electronics' Suzhou facility in China has passed the International Rail Industry Standard (IRIS), becoming the first Chinese EMS provider to do so.

The certification qualifies the company to become a supplier to the global rail industry, the company said.

The IRIS is a standard for high transparency set up by the Association of the European Railway Industries in 2005, for a global system with uniform language, uniform assessment guidelines and mutual acceptance of audits to access the railway industry suppliers.

TT electronics divisional chief executive John Molloy said the certification provides opportunity for continued growth.

"By receiving IRIS certification, TT electronics is better equipped to work with and serve major manufacturers in the railway sector," Molloy said.
