Team Appointed to Advise Natural England on Transport Policies

A team led by UK firm MVA Consultancy has been chosen to advise Natural England, the UK Government's adviser for environment protection, on environment-related issues for major transport schemes.

The team will help the government body develop positions on transport policy and prepare responses on their behalf to transport consultations, guidance and papers directly affecting the natural environment.

Work includes research on targeted transport issues, drafting responses on major transport initiatives, preparing responses to consultations on strategic environmental assessments of transport plans, programmes and strategies as well as on environmental impact assessments.

Other members of the team include Environ, Thomson Ecology and Cooper Partnership.

The team will provide the service at both the national and regional levels, as part of a three-year framework.
