Jacobs to Manage Amtrak Infrastructure Projects

US rail operator Amtrak has signed up Jacobs Engineering Group to provide programme and construction management services for its infrastructure projects funded by economic-stimulus money.

The deal involves more than 100 infrastructure improvement projects, worth more than $560m at over 360 locations in the country.

Work includes maintenance facility upgrades, bridge replacements, track work, security enhancements and various station improvements.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
