The UK's Altrincham interchange in Manchester has been equipped with the latest CCTV technology.
The CCTV system will operate 24 hours a day and has been installed at a cost of £150,000.
The cameras capture high-quality images which will be stored and passed to the Greater Manchester Police or the British Transport Police for investigation.
Altrincham now has a total of 25 new cameras across its transport network with a further seven cameras set to be installed on Metrolink platform 1 by the end of August.
The CCTV system is part of the ongoing £1.5m revamp of the interchange's rail and metrolink facilities.
The renovation work includes new boarding points for disabled passengers on the platforms, resurfacing the platforms and installing new tactile paving and drainage on the rail system.
