US firm GE Transportation and Australian company United Group have extended their partnership by entering a series of ten-year deals for the distribution and sale of rail vehicles in Australia.
Under the deal, UGL Rail will supply heavy-haul locomotives in Australia manufactured by GE. UGL Rail will also supply spare parts, servicing and maintenance for GE vehicles.
In addition, UGL Rail will use GE technology to design and manufacture vehicles in Australia.
