The $200m Hoboken-Meadowlands rail line in the US will open on 26 July after a recent successful trial run.
The opening is in time for the 2009 NFL preseason at Meadowlands' Giants Stadium, for which the line is a major artery.
The line connects the Meadowlands with Secaucus Junction and the New Jersey Transit Station in Hoboken.
The route will take nearly 23 minutes from Hoboken to Secaucus and 10 minutes from Secaucus to Giants Stadium.
Trains will run nearly every 10 to 20 minutes starting 3.5 hours before and finishing up to two hours after the events.
