Delhi-Gurgaon Metro Rail Contract Awarded

A consortium of IL&FS Transportation Networks (ITNL), ITNL Enso Rail Systems and real estate major DLF has won a Rs 900-crore (approximately $182m) contract to build the Delhi-Gurgaon Metro Rail in India.

The metro, which spans 1.2km on a double-track line and 3.7km on a single-track line will cover six stations and will connect Delhi's Sikanderpur Station to Gurgaon's National Highway Number 8.

The contract has been awarded through open bidding.

The project is fully funded by the developer, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
