The Danish State Railway (DSB) has placed an order with German company Siemens to manufacture and supply 100 Desiro Classic DMU regional trains, to be deployed on its Aarhus rail line on the Djursland peninsula.
The vehicles are diesel powered, can reach speeds of up to 120km/h and accommodate 116 passengers.
The first eight vehicles will be delivered in October 2010 and the remainder of the fleet will be supplied later.
The value of the contract is undisclosed.
