Austrian transport operator Linz Linien has awarded Bombardier Transportation a $97m contract to manufacture and supply 23 Flexity Outlook trams.
The trams will be added to the fleet of 33 similar vehicles in use in the city of Linz since 2001.
The trams are 40m long, 2.3m wide and can accommodate 224 passengers.
The first vehicle is expected to be delivered in early 2011.
