Plans Build to Remove Alaskan Rail Tracks

03 July 2009

Rail tracks that cut through the Alaskan city of Palmer in the US may be removed so that the city can develop a green belt that will run through the city centre.

Tracks at several other intersections may also be removed to allow smooth running of traffic across the mostly inactive tracks, adn.com reports.

The plan will undergo public consultation before being put to the Alaska Railroad Corporation for approval.
