CECC Wins Two Algerian Rail Contracts

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CECC), a unit of China Railway Construction Corp, along with Turkey-based Ozgun Construction and Exc, has won a RMB20.62bn (€2.14bn) contract for two rail projects in Algeria in Africa.

The first contract is a €431m project to build a 55km rail line extending El Affroun to Khemis Miliana scheduled for completion in 30 months.

The second is a €1.728bn project to make a 175km electric rail line between BBA and Thenia, for a period of 48 months.

CECC holds an 89.76% stake in the first and 84% stake in the second contract respectively.
