Austrian railway operator Г–BB Group has awarded US networking infrastructure company 3Com the contract to provide networking technology to renew two thirds of its local area networks.
3Com will provide 3Com Switch 5500 for the project's main locations and 3Com OfficeConnect managed switches and IntelliJacks for the smaller locations.
The solution will be based on open standards and accommodate the latest technology trends, 3Com said.
