Bombardier's Intercity Trains Rated Best

18 June 2009

Bombardier Transportation's intercity trains were found to be the best in nine of the 11 design areas assessed by UK passengers, in a study conducted by the UK's official rail users' watchdog Passenger Focus.

Across the 11 design areas, including seating comfort, toilets and luggage provision for long-distance journeys, the train types that received the most favourable approval ratings were the Class 222s operated by Hull Trains and East Midlands Trains.

Bombardier's Voyager trains operated by Arriva CrossCountry with Bombardier's DEMUs also scored well.
