Improved Signalling System for Track Workers

26 May 2009

A new IMpulse 3000 safety system developed by Dual Inventive will provide track workers with audio and visual signals and indicate to the signalling systems that the track is occupied for maintenance.

IMpulse 3000 is placed on the track and will receive a unique pulse through the track when the T-COD 3000 device creates a short.

These pulsed signals will be transferred to the receiver at the work site and converted into flashing green light and audio alerts confirming that the track circuit has been activated correctly.

The device will emit a warning if it stops receiving pulses from a track circuit operating the T-COD 3000 device for the safety of workers at the site.
