Iranian Joint Venture Hopes to Cash in on Growing Rail Market

Faiveley Transport and MAPNA have formed a joint venture for the uction of locomotive and rolling stock brakes at a site in Karaj, in Iran's Tehran.

As its first order, the joint venture will supply braking equipment for 150 diesel-electric locomotives for Iran Railways, which is currently building on its Metro network.

The joint venture will also provide spares, renovation and training services and assembly of air-conditioning units for local and international trade.
