Jarvis Scores Final Try For Rugby Contract

Engineering firm Jarvis has secured the final stage contract for the remodelling of Rugby Station for Network Rail, estimated to be worth over ВЈ40m.

Jarvis Rail, a wholly owned unit of Jarvis, will begin work this week on the project, due to be complete in December 2008 in time for Network Rail's deadline for upgrade works to the West Coast Mainline.

The contract includes plain line, switches and crossing renewals and all associated through alignment tamping.

Jarvis Rail has been the principal contractor of the project since January 2007 and says the contract to be one of its largest and most complex to date.
