Balfour Kilpatrick, the multi services and power systems business of Balfour Beatty, has been awarded a ВЈ1.8m contract to provide mechanical and electrical services at Derby Midland train station.
The project comprises the replacement of all the station canopies and waiting rooms and will be carried out in four phases, says Balfour Kilpatrick.
The company will be replacing existing services with new LV distribution, CCTV, public address, fire alarms, customer information systems, small power and lighting in addition to air conditioning and domestic services to the new waiting rooms.
The contract for Edmund Nuttall and Network Rail Infrastructure is scheduled for completion in spring 2009.
