Mobile network operator and technology provider Nomad Digital is set to roll out a state-of-the art Wi-Fi service on one of the UK's busiest commuter rail routes with the help of a financing initiative.

The ВЈ5.5m debt financing deal from Investec (Investec Capital Markets) will be used install a WiMAX service on Virgin Train's West Coast Main line over the next four years.

The Nomad-run Wi-Fi network, in collaboration with mobile provider T-Mobile, will provide passengers with higher data speeds and better coverage than is currently available on existing multi-purpose public networks, says the company.
