Rail unions in Belgium have called a strike later this month following a dispute over pay and conditions.
The strike by 90 percent of the employees of the state rail company SNCB-NMBS is expected to bring Belgian trains to a standstill for 24 hours from 10pm on 29 April.
The strike will also hit the high-speed Eurostar service to Britain, the Thalys to France and the Netherlands, and the ICE to Germany.
