The opening of a ВЈ30m rail link in Wales has been cancelled only ten days before passenger services were due to resume after a 45-year absence in the area.
The link between Ebbw Vale and Newport had been due to open on Saturday ahead of the resumption of passenger services next week, but was held up by safety and engineering issues.
It will now open in the New Year, the BBC reports.
The Ebbw Vale rail link scheme upgrades 18 miles of railway line for passenger services, restoring a link with Cardiff that was shut in 1962.
