Bombardier Transportation is to supply nine Traxx locomotives in a contract worth €34m (US$50m) for use on European freight corridors.
Traxx is a family of locomotives comprising single and multi system electric and diesel vehicles designed for freight and passenger transport, operated on domestic and international rail routes.
The order by Veolia Cargo SAS includes an option to supply another 12 locomotives.
