Thai Rail Workers Strike Against Privatisation

Rail workers in Thailand called wildcat strikes today over plans to allow private companies to start operating train services.

The government is negotiating with the State Railway Workers' Union to end the strike, which will cost the state railways 17 million baht (US$536).

Train services are expected to resume Thursday
