UK train drivers working for two rail companies have voted to hold a 24-hour strike tomorrow in a row over pensions.
UK train drivers' union ASLEF says an industrial strike is now "inevitable" after it abandoned attempts to kick-start negotiations with Midland Mainline who runs services from London to the Midlands.
Past pensions agreements have not been honoured by the company which "is seriously eroding the value of its members' pensions," ASLEF says on its website.
Some 370 train drivers working for rail operator Silverlink, which runs services through the capital and surrounding areas, is expected to strike on Friday.
