Austrian Federal Railways is to boost its cross-border fleet with 17 new trains in a deal worth €76m ($108m).
The four-car Talent trains are being built in a consortium with electrical equipment provider Elin EBG Traction, part of German technology company Siemens and French manufacturer Bombardier.
The trains, which can travel up to 140km/h, will be used in cross-border traffic between Austria and Hungary and are due to be delivered between December 2008 - May 2009.
