US based light technology manufacturer Cyalume has launched a new safety product for rail passengers in the event of an emergency.
EvacStation is a blast and fire-resistant box which contains nine 10in emergency SnapLights or EvacLights which automatically activate in an emergency.
The company says it has designed the new EvacStation to illuminate each train carriage exit while offering passengers easy-to-use hand-held lighting.
