UK Company to Roll-Out 'Old Style' Fleet.

10 September 2007

UK train company First Great Western is to replace its high-speed fleet with 'old style' trains in a move its says will increase capacity and offer a more reliable service.

First Group, who operate First Great Western trains, says it will replace its existing fleet with 14 new Adelante high-speed trains and 45 old-style 'Intercity 125' high-speed trains.

A spokesman for First Group said: "The whole of this fleet is being refurbished with brand new engines and bright, modern interiors - in fact, for the customer it's just like being on a brand new train."

The trains run between London's Paddington station and the West Country.
