New Line Links China and Hong Kong

China's second railway linking Shenzhen City to Hong Kong opened yesterday – an historic symbol of the new social and economic ties resulting from China's takeover of the previously British ruled nation.

The 7.4m spur line will be used for transporting goods and people and will provide an alternative route to Shenzhen than the Sheung Shui Station line that runs to northern Hong Kong.
