Testing Starts on Perth Metro

13 August 2007

Testing has begun on a new metro rail tunnel in Perth, Western Australia that connects the city's foreshore with a 2.7km double-track railway travelling partly through twin-bored tunnels.

The new railway is expected to be running by the end of the year as part of the Leighton Kumagai Joint Venture, which is overseeing the project.
