High-resolution video equipment will be installed in the Martignano Tunnel in Italy to create an incident detection system.
The video codecs (a device or software module that enables the use of compression for digital video), developed by UK-based video network manufacturer COE Group, will be installed in Trentino as part of a €76m project financed by the Province of Trento.
The 3km tunnel is a twin-tube design and part of the strategic road link for the Trento region.
