New Mini Cars Get a Go on Rail

27 June 2007

A new mini-car rail will be serving commuters next week on the UK's shortest branch line, in a novel way of thinking about public transport.

Passengers travelling to Stourbridge in the West Midlands presently have to change trains at Stourbridge junction as there is no direct route.

If trials are successful, however, the mini-car rail will carry passengers instead, for the whole eight-minute journey.
