China CNR to Deliver Freight Cars to Australia

China CNR has secured a contract from Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) to deliver rail freight cars to Australia, according to the state-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

CNR will deliver 260 40t-axle-load mining cars to FMG.

China CNR will also form a joint venture with Poland's PKP Cargo in Warsaw to manufacture trains for European markets.

The 50/50 joint venture will be involved in pre-manufacturing works for Poland's train makers.

CNR is also in the final negotiations with CSR Corporation for four deals worth $800m with UK companies.
