Network Rail has unveiled plans to revamp Llandudno railway station in Wales into a secure transport interchange.
If the plans are approved, the station will see a refurbished concourse, waiting area and a bigger car park, extra bicycle storage, two bus stops and a new taxi drop-off point.
The design of the station will incorporate energy efficient technologies, while the original Victorian structures of the station will be restored and reused.
The proposal has been jointly developed by Network Rail, North Wales Joint Transport Board, Conwy County Borough Council, Arriva Trains Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government.
The upgrade will form a part of the National Station Improvement Programme, supported by the Department for Transport.
Llandudno station is expected to be a strategic transport hub by linking Llandudno to the rest of north Wales.
The station has also seen a steady increase in passenger demand over the years and receives more than 270,000 passengers on average annually.
