US-based rail freight operator Genesee and Wyoming has selected RailComm's GCOR dispatch system for 16 Southern Region railroads.
RailComm’s web-enabled domain operations controller (DOC) train control system can remotely dispatch trains and relocate dispatchers to alternative locations as required.
Since the DOC control application resides on servers within RailComm's managed data centre in New York, the requirement for local IT support at each railroad is said to be reduced.
RailComm provides machine-to-machine technology applications for freight railroad, passenger rail and industrial operations throughout North America.
