MMC-Gamuda JV to Tender Tunnelling Works on Malay Rail

An MMC-Gamuda joint venture has been appointed the project delivery partner for tunnelling works for a mass rail transit project in Malaysia.

Syarikat Prasarana Negara will be the infrastructure owner of the project while the Land Public Transport Commission is the supervising authority.

The plans for the Blue Line project include the construction of a line from Sungai Buloh to Kajang via Damansara..

The joint venture has already conducted extensive preliminary studies of the project.

MMC-Gamuda JV's MYR36bn ($11.4bn) proposal involves almost 150km of railway tracks, 40km of which will run underground.
