The new extension to the Atocha railway terminal in Madrid, Spain, has been completed and opened for public use.
The €171m ($265.8m) rail terminal will meet the increasing number of new AVE high-speed rail lines in the region that connect to the capital, and will serve about 36 million travellers by 2025.
The building is part of the first phase of the expansion of the station project, worth €500m ($661m).
The train services are run by Spanish national rail company Renfe.
