Scomi Engineering unit Scomi Rail has received a letter of intent from Syarikat Prasarana Negara (SPNB) for a MYR494m ($157m) monorail fleet expansion project in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Scomi Rail has accepted the contract and a formal award letter will follow, according to SPNB.
Scomi Engineering submitted proposals on 19 July for the monorail project and could supply 48 coaches for 12 four-coach sets.
