$31.5 Million Contract for Phooltas

27 February 2009

Phooltas has been awarded a $31.5 million contract for the supply of 128 OHE inspection vehicles, commonly called tower wagons, by the Indian Railway Board. Phooltas was chosen over several other contenders for this contract.

OHE inspection vehicles are self-propelled four-wheeled vehicles used by railway electrification teams for erection and maintenance of the overhead catenary system.

They will be built in Phooltas' newly set up, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Haridwar in the state of Uttarakhand.
