GAI-Tronics Gains Network Rail Approval for Vision Hardware

10 June 2010

In January this year GAI-Tronics' Vision hardware was approved by Network Rail for webCIS applications on platforms and stations. The approval number is PA05/03958; PADS 087/037928.

Vision help points are built for weather and vandal resistance, with a toughened screen and casing to survive in the most arduous areas.

A transflective screen allows viewing in strong daylight, while the embedded computer allows the unit to reboot itself (e.g. after a power cut) without intervention from a control centre or a physical visit to the unit.

Vision is ideal for public-access areas such as train stations and platforms, taxi ranks, carparks and bus stops.
