LED-based integrated passenger information system

Efftronics' integrated passenger information system (IPIS) provides single system control and data entry for different types of passenger information systems over an entire station. This information system comprises different types of LED display systems, TV displays, CCTV and platform announcement systems.

The LED display system comes in single-colour, multi-colour and true-colour varieties. It is provided with both night and day-visible options. It can also be equipped with various interfaces – including a dial-up modem, GPS, GSM modem and zigbee – as per the customer's requirements.

Railway panel interlocking or RRI system data loggers

The data logger logs the status of various relays in different railway panel interlocking systems or route relay interlocking (RRI) systems.

With the help of data logger technology, remote stations can be monitored from a central location. This allows the effective monitoring and maintenance of railway signalling gears, train speeds, etc.

The data logger provides reports for preventive maintenance of equipment, and reports various faults that are generated online for immediate attention. The data logger can scan 4,096 digital inputs at the rate of 16ms and 96 analogue parameters at the rate of 1s. These data loggers can be networked over a track span of 400km.

Battery monitoring systems

The battery monitoring system tests and monitors the condition of a battery connected at a remote place. This is performed online or offline and does not require human interaction. It judges the battery, based on the discharge characteristics, and the voltage and temperature data is logged for analysis. This data is transferred to the central PC through a dial-up modem.

Automatic train charting software

Efftronics' train-charting software automatically plots a real-time control chart of the train traffic – from the starting of a section to its end – by using the data logger data. The software can also predict a train's position in the section for the next few hours using real-time data.

Signal lamps

Our LED-based railway signal lamps are developed as per RDSO (Indian Railways) specifications. They are equipped with health monitoring and alarm systems.

Solid-state block instruments

Efftronics' universal solid-state block instrument exchanges provide block signalling information between two railway stations. The system provides interlocking block signalling according to absolute block working methods for single or double line working.

The system conforms to the CENELEC standard for rail safety with safety integrity level four (SIL-4).

Point machine health-monitoring unit

Our point machine health-monitoring unit can be used for measuring and logging current, voltages and operational-time duration when a point machine is in operation. Graphical analysis of the parameters is provided by the software.
