Atkins Awarded Gauge Clearance Contract

Atkins has been awarded a contract by Network Rail to undertake detailed design works to increase the gauge clearances on a section of the North London Line.
The work, to widen the clearances through Hampstead Heath Tunnel and three adjacent bridge structures, is part of the North London Line W10 Gauge Clearance Project.
The North London Line is a vital part of London’s transport infrastructure and this project will enable W10 freight containers to pass along the route.
This contract follows Atkins' successful delivery of two previous design stages and will see a Croydon based team deliver stakeholder management as well as detailed design works.
