MTR Implements a New Growth Strategy

24 November 2006

MTR was established in 1995 as a railway training provider and has since built a solid reputation for developing an excellent rapport with customers.

MTR joined the Hydrex group of companies in 2004 and has since started delivering training in the construction and material handling markets.

Due to the initial success in these areas and the continuing opportunities in the railway market, MTR has implemented a growth strategy that has seen the appointment of a new general manager, and more recently a business development manager and sales team. The delivery of this strategy involves the development of new training facilities in the UK and recruitment of trainers across all disciplines.

To support this growth MTR has a full-time team developing new training facilities around the UK. MTR recently opened a new site at Portishead and a newly refurbished Hydrex Depot. A new training Centre at West Drayton, London is due to open in December. In addition to training and development services, MTR also has a number of contracts to supply maintenance services for road rail vehicles and signalling equipment.
