Drivetrain Power and Propulsion has entered the turbocharger market through its Drivetrain Americas operation, located in Plain City, Ohio and its Hedemora diesel engine operation, based in Sweden. Our line of HS turbochargers originated from the Hispano Suiza / Turbomeca product range, and complements a variety of OEM engines, including Wartsila, GE, Alco and many others. The product range includes both standard and new generation HS turbochargers.
Standard generation turbochargers
Three standard generation turbochargers are available: the HS 430, supporting equivalent powers between 700W and 1,700kW, and the HS 550 and HS 570 turbochargers, which are extending the power range up to 2,700kW. The turbochargers are water-cooled and deliver pressure ratios of up to 3.2 - 1 with service intervals recommended at 12,000hr.
New generation turbochargers
The New Generation products are represented by HS 4800 and HS 5800 turbochargers, rated at equivalent engine powers of 1,000kW to 3,700kW. The turbo's deliver pressure ratios of up to 5 - 1 and efficiencies of 72% - 75% are achievable. The design features fully air-cooled construction in addition to being compact and lightweight, at 260kg and 380kg for the two product ranges.
Numerous HS turbochargers are already in operation in diverse industry applications, including rail, marine, and stationary power generation. Drivetrain Power and Propulsion is committed to supporting these customers and to the supply of new turbochargers for both new engine applications and retrofits to existing machinery.
